Proposed Membership Changes 2026

Membership at Sioux River Sportsmen’s Club has grown significantly in the last four years. We thank all of our valued members for joining the club.

With this growth has come some challenges. Despite the system we have in place of educating new members of the rules, violations that pose a safety risk or allow nonmembers into the range continue to happen.

The SRSC Board of Directors has been discussing potential changes to the membership system and is releasing this first draft to how joining the club would work in the future. The changes would be significant for anyone joining as a new member, however changes would be minimal to existing members.

SRSC Membership Process 2026

New Members

1. Apply for new membership on SRSC website. One time application fee is $100.
2. Attend a new member meeting in person. Meetings will be held a minimum of once a month. Club benefits, rules, and expectations will be covered. At the meeting prospective members will pay an annual membership fee of $125 and will be given their access card. The total cost of a new membership will be $225.
3. Membership renewal, for people who join under this new system, can be done annually within 30 before or after expiration. Renewal will be done online or can be done in person at monthly new member meetings. Members who are renewing after joining under this new system are not required to attend a new member meeting.
4. Among the benefits members will receive in this new process, all members will have the right to bring in a maximum of 4 guests. Guests must pay range fees and fill out waivers.

Current Members

1. Membership terms will not change until expiration of current membership.
2. Current members will NOT be required to pay an application fee.
3. Membership fee will be $125 per year (one year from the date of joining).
4. Once a current membership expires, the member may renew their membership and maintain access for 60 days. They must attend a New Member Meeting within 60 days or their card will become inactive until they have attended a New Member Meeting.
5. Current members may immediately gain the right to bring up to 4 guests to the range once they have attended a New Member Meeting.

New Member Meetings

New Member Meetings will take place a minimum of once per month. During the first year of this new membership process, SRSC will do our best to hold more than one per month.

Member work hours

Members can receive up to a $50 discount on the renewal of their memberships if they perform club work. The rate of discount on the membership renewal is $10 per club work hour. They system of work and scheduling has yet to be determined.
